06 LS idle/miss issue I can't figure out!
Hoping you guys may have some ideas
06 Cobalt LS w/118k (bone stock other than suspension).
At idle the car will have a random miss. It may idle good for a couple minutes then sputter a few times or sputter a lot. When accelerating slowly from a stop it will fall on it's face, sputter, and then go. It has also died 2 times when stopping for a light. All symptoms are more apparent and often when the car is below peak operating temperature. The miss may improve slightly when it is in neutral. The stumbling from a stop def goes away when car is warm. It doesn't seem to change much between damp or dry weather. If I raise the RPMs it seems to go away (or I can't feel it). Performance seems fine. A buddy did a quick check for me and found cyl missfire history as follows... #1 360 misses, #2 49 missses, #3 184 misses, #4 54 missses. Also, no codes were found.
What I have done....
At 118k
-Seafoam fuel, oil, intake (fresh oil change after 150 miles)
-fuel filter (ran much better for a day and a half)
-cleaned TB
-new plug boots
At 100-105k
-air filter and plugs
-trans filter/fluid
-cleaned TB and MAF
-air filter
