That fixed that one.
Both outside mirrors will rattle a bit on rough roads. My 92 Camaro did this and I was able to fix that by taking the mirrors off and putting some small rubber cushions on the back side of the mirror.

I have what sounds like paper flapping in the wind sound coming from under the shifter and one of the back seats rattles just a bit.
I do think that the road noise from the tires is a little loud at times.

If you think the Cobalt is bad you should try driving a 63 Ford F100 pickup sometime.

Maybe some ducktape holding the tranny together

Oh i definitly know the cobalt/g5 and ALL gm cars are rattle traps. This noise coming from my L/R is new, and started suddenly. It is unlike the "run of the mill" GM crap. I actually stopped the car because I thought the left rear lower shock mount broke....it was THAT loud.

The other issue is the actual tail lamp housing has rubbed the paint COMPLETELY off in 2,000 miles and 2.5 months. LOL...I love this car, REALLY, but at 2,000 miles I just don't think the paint should be rubbed off down to the bare metal on the exterior body panels.

It's a Cobalt, get used to it. Be happy you own a Sport Compact capable of 13s, STOCK! My SS/SC is a rattle-trap with 36,000 miles and it hasn't fallen apart, yet.

I would have to agree.

I have a 06 SS/SC with 24,000 miles on it that I bought new in March of 06. It began rattling just weeks after purchase just like the OPs is. I found some of them go away when I close the sunroof visor.

I also have an 09 LT coupe. I've owned it a month now. Though it has only a very slight rattle now, it seems like it's better built than my 06. The interior parts seem to fit and look better and so does the exterior.

Yeah I have some rattles in my car but it doesn't bother me. Even though it's a SS/TC it's still an entry economy car, so I expect it. My dad is a mechanic at a Chevy dealer and calls it a "rattle box" all the time
