09 SS/TC Idle/Cold Start/Fuel Trim Issue(s)
Hey guys,
Now that it's getting cold in MI, a few problems are revealing themselves. I BELIEVE them all to be connected.
First, cold start, I'm throwing a TON of smoke out the exhaust. All white. And before anyone says headgasket, coolant level hasn't changed since I started watching it; just over a month.
Second, my car is sputtering on cold start. It starts, dies down to 200 rpms, shoots back to 1800 rpms, and does that a few times then settles. NO CELs. Car runs fine.
Third, my fuel trims are a bit strange. STFT usually rests around 0.7 on cruise, but will shoot to +11 on a WOT pull.
LTFT are consistently around -7.0 at cruise.
My upstream O2 is starting to go, where A/F goes to 11.0 and Lambda to .70 for about 30 seconds then shoots back up to normal (14.7 A/F and 1.00 Lambda). Might do this 2-3 times over a 3 hour drive.
Maybe a tuner, Term2 or CobaltSS1 can help me out with that.
