2001 civic help!
My girlfriend has a 2001 civic, automatic. The trans went at ~200 thousand km.. Had it rebuilt 3 weeks ago, a month at the most.. now on start up it makes a noise, like a grungy squeal type noise coming from under the engine area... Torque converter comes to mind. Anyone ever hear of a squeal type noise from one before?
I don't know a lot about autos haha. Any insight would be appreciated!
Also, if the tranny was just rebuilt I'm assuming they would have removed the torque converter with it? I heard you can leave them in but it's harder to align it back together? Not sure. Just odd to me that it went not even a month after a new tranny went it.

Yes it has oil lol.. I've heard something to do with the starter teeth not being correctly aligned with the converter could make said sound or something around the lines of that. Made an appointment with the shop tomorrow to resolve it.
Yes every Honda does. Probably just vtec kicking in.

thanks! I'll look into that.
The pushing off a cliff is possible. Car has been nothing but problems and the fact that it does 0-60 in an entire weekend is definitely not helping the cause.
