Question 2006 Cobalt SS Radio/Stereo Question?

I have a 2010 Cobalt SS Radio and I want to put it in my 2006 Cobalt SS, but I don't know if I need any wire harnesses or new on-star wiring, or a whole new setup. I'm just wondering what I all need to make it work properly. Thanks.

I know it's possible, but its a complete royal PITA. I so believe you gotta splice harnesses, require something's, you'll lose your steering wheel controls, chimes, and then you'll have to go through the process of the dealer and getting reprogrammed, if they still even have the option anymore. I was gonna do this in my gfs 06 cobalt and put my 09 HU in hers but I've read up on it. Not worth it IMHO. Just instal an aftermarket like I did.

I could go ahead and get the new wire harnesses and hook it up, but it's not going to make the steering wheel control work. could I get a new steering wheel and hook that up to get everything working properly?
