2008 code P0011

Hi, I have an 08 SS Turbo that started throwing code P0011 and my code reader says it is Cam Position Actuator A - Bank 1 - Timing Over Advance.
I was wondering what it will take to replace this Actuator. Can it be done at home, or is it a trip to the Dealer?

Yes you can do it at home. I forgot what size socket it takes but its very easy to change. But finding the part is where I had to order it.

No socket needed. Just pull the exh and int cam sensors with pliers and put the new ones in.

had this problem on my LNF also. 90k miles

bought the Exh and Intake Cam solenoids off Amazon since they were prime and cheaper than Crate Engine Depot.

10 mm socket. Takes 5 minutes to do. they are located on your VC towards the passenger side, the cylinder looking objects.

Im paying 400 for a gmpp clutch, stage 2 ottp mounts and spherical cabs to get installed. Screw dealer prices. Get a hook-up at a local shop.

tuned08SS is that your car? What brand upper charge pipe is that? I like the way it dosen't go over the engine. I have the hood insulation and there would be clearance issues with the ones that go over the valve covers. Mine is stock right now but a friend got a Solstace GXP and is going to mod it so I have to step up. If I get a different intercooler that I see on ebay, does it have the charge pipes? Also do you like the CAI under the hood? I have seen them routed outside the engine cmpartment.
