350 miles so far
so far the car isnt that bad. i just had a few problems with it (2010 ss tc).
1. the shifter wont go into 5th without lifting up on the reverse lockout thing (gunna be fixed soon)
2. the gas meter seems to have a mind of its own. very annoying. like lets say the car is on 1/2 a tank. when i go to turn it on again after work or something, it will read lower, then maybe move up verrrrrry slowly while im driving. wtf? it makes it seem like im going thru gas a lot and i maybe see boost once a day for a very short period (like 2 seconds). i drive the car with a light foot but that gas meter i think is inaccurate.
3. the breaks. they are omfg squeaky. but i hear this is norma. just annoying
4. the car pulls to the left a bit while going freeway speeds. probably just needs an alignment.
thats all the gripes i have, other than that i LOVE the car. i just wish i didnt have to deal with these problems from a brand new car. i had a first year production civic si and it never gave me problems. evar. except the a/c at 30,000 miles.

1. Hmm, that's odd, must just be a defect.
2. The gauge does not react very quickly. It will read wrong if you are on a slope, and does not update instantly. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to read accurately.
3. Ya, SS/TC rear brakes are a pain in the ass, good luck with them
4. Ya, get an alignment. That's very strange that it's off already
Glad you like the car! I definitely think that the car is well worth the few headaches that come with.

my alignment was off when I bought the car new, sunroof was broke, had a nice dent in the driver's door, driver's seat was worn, and the hood was misaligned and bent... lol could be worse I suppose

Yeah, the dealership covered everything that week, but my hood doesn't match my fenders very well since they repainted it. They know this, so I'm having it fixed before summer (when my warranty is up).

do you drive in the left lane a lot? all of the roads up here at least have a crown to help water drain and i notice when i'm in the left lane, the car pulls slightly to the left, but otherwise it rides straight

1. the not shifting into 5th is your linkage cables, happened to me, they said a bolt came out... fixed it for me under warranty and after i got it back the shifter felt AMAZING! lol
2. i notice the gas gauge does the same thing to me... for example if i park on a driveway facing down... it shows like it has an 1/8th of a tank more!!! and vice versa if i park facing up.
3. brembo brakes squeak when they are cold... the dealer told me that it was because of brake dust.. but thats BS.. lol after a while i got used to it. recently it hasnt been doing it much.
4. try alignment but mine does it sometimes depending on the curve of the road.
