3rd Slave cylinder in 1 year!
I need some advice here. I had my clutch done a year ago, and my clutch pedal was still engaging half way up travel. Should it not be right away as soon as you start to let off? I was told just to drive it, and it would adjust itself. It did, it ended up at nearly the top. Thats where a clutch goes when its gonna go soon. The other day, i pulled in the driveway and my clutch pedal went stiff and couldnt get out of gear. Then it went normal again(Squishy) I dropped it at the mechanic and cabbed it home. The symptoms, have all been consistantly the same every time this has happened. What are they missing? Why does it keep going, and why after a fresh clutch install is my pedal soft and in the middle of the travel area instead of close to the floor?

Ur mech doesn't know how to prime the tob obviously and u probably have air in there and keep blowing it out. Before u put ur trans on u should put a hose on the tob distribution block, the one with the bleed nipple, put it in a bottle of fluid , press in the tob and let go so it sucks in and fills up with fluid, then somehow close and tape up where ur clutch line connects to the block. After u install trans and have it bolted, make sure resivour is full, let some run out of the line and connect it. Then bleed it. One or 2 presses should be good. That's how I did mine, Powell had primed it like that, and it works perfectly.

Ok, so finally getting a new clutch assembly again. The Mechanic is taking out the aftermarket no name clutch and has finally ordered OEM. Will this help? Every aftermarket clutch has givin me a squishy pedal, and mid range engagement point. Every other car I've had a clutch done in has givin me a harder pedal feel w low engagement point plus the feeling of more power. Thanks to you for taking your time to reply with advice. Appreciate it a lot.
