Add a circuit
So I hooked up my wideband a couple days ago and I used an "add a circuit" for power and used the wipers fuse. Now this doesn't make any kind of sense but the gauge is on all the time? If the key is off there is no power, if the key is on and wipers are on you get power but once the add a circuit is plugged in the gauge gets power all the time but not the wipers? Any ideas, so confused. Thanks

Why would you want to tap into the wiper fuse? Why wouldn't you just tap into the key accessory and have it on when you turn the key on, and then it turns off when you open the door, just my honest opinion. It's the circuit I use for everything like my gauges.

What your explaining doesn't seem to make sense either... Technically the gauge should only work with the wipers ON if the fuse only flows power when you have the wipers on... unless the wiper power switch is downstream of the fuse from the power source in which case yes you will have power 100% of the time regardless if the key is on...

x2 EVERYONE uses Acc. Power for tapping the fusebox, I suggest you do the same. It's very straightforward.... key on = device power and key off= no device power...

Well alot of people on here said that wipers only get power when the car is on, alot of people say the sunroof is a good one too but for the accessory can you just use an open fuse? Like I tried doing the putting the add a circuit in where the onstar fuse was and it still did the same thing

I used the wiper fuse and sunroof, my wideband turns on and off with the car. I dont remember which fuse I have my boost gauge hooked to but it turns off when I open the door or when the radio or accessory's shut off at 5 minutes or whatever it is when the key is out of the ignition.
But seriously just play around with the fuses to see which one turns on and off with the car it takes little to no effort.
