i'd like to know how amazon can charge $521 for shipping when CED is only charging about $150.

where does amazon ship their parts from Japan?

ah well. $500 to the door for two rotors, set of pads and two sets of caliper pins isn't too bad i guess. could be worse.

$500 for shipping?? The only thing I can think of is that the rotors, pads and pins are coming from a different warehouse each and they're charging you for shipping of 3 parts within the US and one big package from where they sort orders to Canada.. or even worse, shipping for 3 packages from 3 different places in the US to Canada.

Whenever I get absurdly high shipping charges like that, I get the impression that some vendors who offer free shipping to the US try to make that shipping money back on Canadian orders lol.

nope. i chose the option to wait until the parts were all together and sent as one package.

yes well the parts themselves aren't TOO big but they weigh a tonne. that's probably why.

I'm not sure if you have a napa near you but I've seen several people on here that swear by their ultra premium rotors for auto x and track use they run about 70 apiece and no shipping if you can pick them up at a store

yep we have NAPA here but i am hell bent on using all GM parts. my car will remain unmodified as long as possible. better resale and collectability if it's all genuine. well.. as much as it can be that is.

I'm with ya on the stock thing but I wouldn't consider a set of rotors a mod plus no one would know they look and perform just like stock it would just be a good way to save $$$ on shipping those heavy ass rotors over the border

but they want $521 for shipping because it's international to Canada... wtf. so $748 all together with fees.

searched amazon.ca no hits for any brake parts. lame.

i guess unless i have an american address that i could drive to, im stuck going with CED.

You're in Windsor! All kinds of places to have packages shipped to for pickup by Canadians across the way. But Tom is always good to go to! Except for finding a great deal on those brakes I order all of my parts from crateenginedepot, and trust me, I've ordered quite a few.
