air sensors in wrong spots effect anything?

So...my wheels somehow got mixed up when I put new tires on.......and when I change the air pressure in the front tires for the drag strip...........the BACK tire pressures change on the readout.

Don't really care as I know I'm letting the pressure out of the front tires.........BUT.......is the car smart enough to make certain adjustments and/or limit power or anything to reduce or change performance. (both in general and at the srtip)

???

There is a procedure to relearn the TPMS locations in the owners manual. You enable the learn mode and raise or drop the pressure in each one until the horn beeps. I did it after a tire rotation.

I have no light that comes on. I dropped my TP to 26lbs in the front last time at the track(reading that the rear's were 26) and no light came on.

Interesting...thanks. I'll have to do that. So it will basically fix itself after doing that? I was about to have my tires taken off and moved around til they were right.

Yah all it will do is reverse the reading....front will be back and vice versa. Like said above there is a procedure to correct this. Follow the instructions in your manual. Basically it tells you to hold down the lock and unlock button on your keypad....the car will beep and the lights will come on, this means youre ready to reprogram TPMS. Then the front driver side turn signal will come on solid, at this time either add or let air out of that tire for 5-10secs....the systems senses this and determines where that sensor is. Repeat at each corner as turn signal illuminates....very easy, but annoying when the time comes to rotate your tires.

Hope this helps
