Bad Battery? VSS + Power Steering + More
Okay, so here's a little background:
2005 SS SC, 70xxx, intake and exhaust. 300W RMS amp + sub.
I just bought a Shitty-Motomaster battery to replace the old one that completely conked on my car ~ 1 month ago.
I was fine driving the car for 2 hours, no issues with the car. I drive about 40 min, same conditions, and I get a "Power Steering" light in my DIC. Odd, I already got the recall.
Second, I get a code for "Low VSS Voltage" (P0503 I think), and my speedometer drops to 0. Now it's harder to steer (very stiff), and I have no speedometer. I am also monitoring misfires, and I'm getting 2 misfires almost every shift (can't hear them, just see them on interceptor).
So I drive home, realize the negative terminal is up a little high on the battery, and push it back down. City driving is fine for a few days.
I go to drive another hour trip, same thing happens. This time, when I drop from ~2k-3k RPM down to neutral, the car just drops to ~300RPM, and either overshoots way up to 2000RPM, or just stalls out. Negative terminal is fine on the battery.
Now, when I'm throwing these codes, and power steering light is on, my DIC will not show anything just coolant temp, everything else just says "--". I cannot pop my trunk either from inside the car.
I'm starting to wonder if it is the shitty battery, not supplying enough voltage to the car? Or could it just be the VSS effing everything up?
Help!!

Okay, haven't checked the alternator yet, but im starting to believe it's another issue.
Currently, the battery reads 14.3V idling, and 12.3V when off. Seems appropriate to me?
However, now my windows won't go down. it's almost as if there's ice on them. You can hear them attempt to move, and even see them twitch, but then they bog down and won't move. Doesn't make a difference if the car is on or not.
No misfires, CEL, or DIC crap on short drives, car runs completely fine. help!
