Belt Tensioner

I went to put my Supercharger on today and for the life of me could not get the tensioner shock for the serpentine belt to move.. I know from last year it was a real PITA but got it just enough to get the belt on, but now I have the intake spacer from ZZP. Is my shock froze up.

Does anyone have the adjustible one from ZZP? Does that replace the whole shock assembley or do i still need to get the shock??

Zzp's only comes with the top bracket not the shock. How are you trying to depress it?

By pishing down with a wrench stuck on the square "nub" on top next to the pulley

Try taking a breaker bar and wedge the handle end under the engine mount and push down on the pulley that way. It gives you more leverage that way and as long as the belt is on the pulley it won't hurt anything

That tool is like 100 bucks and unnecessary if you have a breaker bar.

If you want to spend a ton of money on something that is rarely used be my guest, I'm just trying to let the op know that spending money on a specialty tool is not the only option

Once you do get it off though, I would HIGHLY recommend the ZZP adjustable tensioner. It is a one handed affair and can provide 3 different levels of tension depending on your pulley size.
