Question black smoke

When every I get on the gas there is a black cloud of smoke. And the back of the car has black specs all over it

if im not mistaken, its due to the high octane we use mixed with having a turbo. im not 100% sure though.

yup, way rich AFR 1st guess. High carbon deposits/blowby in the combustion chamber...what engine u got? mileage? mods?

scratch that, slight possibility the gas u use is poor quality but its GOTTA be the air/fuel ratio, clogged air filter, bad ignition timing, overcooling, stuck on open loop. Boost controller turned 2 high?

I'll check all that stuff and today I found a injector is leaking is that maybe it

a leaky injector is no good...might as well replace it or replace the seal on it or replace the seal

Having excessive black smoke with tar forming on the bumper is a sign of running too rich. If you have any chips piggybacked onto the PCM, take them off.

If your car has been tuned, get in contact with whoever tuned it.

all this made me wonder just how richie im runnin? I keep hearing the s2 is rich and now that i think bout it, my ex-tip (is) black with carbon. Then again it (has) been ALOT of hwy miles, 2 embarrasing 2 disclose.....
