Boost Bypass Problem

My boost bypass valve/acutator, w/e you want to call it, is fuked. I'm running 19 psi on my car with an hptune. In the data log runs, the bost up top was JUMPY. It looked like belt slip. We checked the belt, it was tight as hell. So we did the boost bypass mod, and sure enough, the boost was was perfectly straight in the data log run. When my boost gets past around 14 psi maybe 15, I can hear my supercharger like chattering almost. It sounds like the boost is trying to go higher but seems like something is stopping it (the boost bypass valve)

My question is, can I buy a new boost bypass valve from the dealership? I went to my local one and they said that it's apart of the supercharger and that the only way to get another one would to be to buy a new freakin supercharger. How the hell can I get this replaced without buying a new supercharger???

I would run around with the boost bypass mod, but it gives me crazy knock whcih I don't want.

lol thanks guys. Yeah Trix, if you remember that part number, could you give it to me? Because I can't run with the boost bypass mod...my car is a knock retard machine. Oh Paul I got my plugs in..........lets just say, I had another run with no knock but had the boost going ccrazy bc of my bypass.....and then on another run my car backfired at about 4 thousand rpm.... I need to get this bypass fixed asap first so we can go from there.

K thanks man. I kinda had a bad experience...well not a bad one but a long one with ced a while back. I ordered my GM stage 1 and waited for about 2 and half months. I know it wasn't their fault but they did tell me it wasn't going to take that long.

Hey Paul don't worry about it lol. Thanks for offering though. The car still runs fine (until I get on it lol). I just need to get this fixed first. And then I will be heading up to CA. The weird thing is, NO KNOCK in first gear. Maybe bc you limited my boost. I kind of didn't want that....I was used to full boost in first with my 2.8 but now i'm starting to get used to it.

Well the limited boost I gave you in first is around the max boost you saw with the 2.8... trust me it helps.. I even had mine limited through the first half of second... if not I would spin all the way to 3rd gear... 40 rolls= instant tire spin and my tires are still like new

It probably wasn't a backfire... It was probably Detonating a little bit.

What was the A/F doing when it did it...

I fixed the backfiring issue.....i'm telling you, it sounded like a gun shot. When it happened, I had no knock and my a/f ratios were at around 12.......stupid cobalt....my car makes no sense though It always ran leaner then my friends cobalts and peoples cobalts on here. I had just the old intense stage 3 kit (maf translator setup). Everything else was stock. No intake....well had an exhaust. But the settings on the maft i had were no where close to intense's recommondations. With their settings, my car would get like 4000 degrees of knock (exaggeration but u know what i mean)
