Burning Oil Issue---Ideas?

Some of you may have seen my post the other day about my issue. Still wanting some more feedback, hoping maybe others have had similar issues.

My old stock turbo blew, I replaced it with a seemingly perfect stocker with absolutely no shaft play.
I cleaned all the piping, intercooler, & everything getting old residue out. So the smoke isn't old stuff.
The car only smokes at idle or if you throw it in neutral after driving on reacceleration it will start smoking. The car doesn't smoke under boost, or normal driving conditions at all.

Myself & a very skilled mechanic looked at the car last night trying to figure out the issue. We were fairly crunched on time but ruled it down to 2 things it would have to be.

1. The exhaust side of the turbo seal is blown.
or 2. The breather line from the valve cover to the turbo isn't functioning correctly.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I'd check
1: The exhaust side of the turbo for a blown seal
2: The breather line from the valve cover to the turbo for proper function.

Haha, I'm hoping the breather. Turbo had absolutely no shaft play, thing looked almost new. But I know how those seals can be even if the turbo seems fine.
I guess I will just try a catch can, if that doesn't work it has to be the turbo.

That's the plan. In opposite order though, haha.

I agree. Plan on doing this.
Just trying to eliminate the more likely things first.

mongorat has brand new units look to pay around 500 or so shipped. Not sure its your turbo, you are still guessing and that isnt a great way to fix your car.

I've been working all day, between working a full time job & having a little one I'm very time consumed.
I'm not going to just guess about problems, clearly why I'm narrowing it down. I was seeing some opinions & trying to see if other people had any of the same symptoms..
