Cabin Air Filter
#28
does anyone know if its a problem to run temporarily without the filter installed? or will the air just blow around in the back of the glove box, lol. it's xmas, hard to get to the dealer to get a new one and i'm sure mine is restricting airflow

subscribed. also, a new cabin filter lets the air flow better through the vents and that is very noticiable if you havent changed it in a while. in my old car it wasnt changed for until 80k and when i changed it damn was that air better flowing, smelt fresh lol.

i was looking in there this morning and i dont see the three clamps to pop off. does anyone have a pic?
it's -30 celsius outside, I really don't want to yank on anything plastic that i dont have to. it'll probably break.

i agree to disagree i had the biggest p.o.s. on earth before my balt a 2001 mercury cougar v6 mtx... the fuel filter was 35... 10 bucks cheaper than a cobalt ss/sc... 10 dollar difference isnt really bad. there 45 on amazon for us.

ok so i found the three clips, pulled them off, and tried pulling the plastic the clips were holding. nothing. doesnt budge. is there a screw or something i'm missing? does it pull horizontally straight out? if so... it's really stuck in there.

Check behind the glove box, undo the two clips that hold the glove box up and let it drop down, then you should see the clamps that hold the cabin filter.
