Car doesn't start/Turn Key and nothing happens

I've searched for this for 2 hours or so, and haven't found the exact same problem.

It happened when I left work, the weather hit -35c or so that night..the car started fine, i left work and stopped for gas. Fueled up, tried to start the car , and nothing.

While turning the key halfway, the electronics come on as normal, but as you turn it all the way (to ignition/start), nothing happens. The key turns fine, everything powers on (lights, radio, etc) but it doesn't wanna ignite/turnover.

When you turn the key, no sound, no clicks, nothing. It's not the battery, as I just replaced that a few weeks ago, and know what a dead battery behaves like. It's also in my garage and fully charged right now (got it towed home).

I've checked all the crank/ignition fuses (4 or 5), they're all fine.

I've checked the fuel cap also, as that came up on some threads as the problem.

I'm wondering if it's the starter or ignition sensor or solenoid.

Any input would be appreciated.

Something like this happens to my friends honda, all the power and stuff worked, we changed the sparkplugs and all that, but it turned out that there was a piece of rubbing blocking the clutch from being fully depressed, so the car wouldn't start

same happened to me, we pretty much checked every fuse for ignition and crank. In the end, it ended up being in the fuse box. we switched I think the ignition crank with the fan, the secondary fan that is. (when your car hits 200degrees in coolant temp the fans turn) Haven't had a problem since, should probably get a new one though lol.

How do you tighten the posts on the fuse box? I think I may be having an issue with mine.

Amazing.

I pulled those fuses earlier, the run/crank and starter ones, opened them and looked...they looked fine.

I swapped both of those with the matching fan fuses......

Car works.

I owe ya man, I gotta get some new fuses I think and probly replace em all, since I don't know which one was screwed.

*Edit, for future reference, I swapped out both crank relays with the fan ones Relay # 12193604. I'm gonna replace them all I think, unless I can figure out which one was bad.

Yeah it's definitely sketch driving around with some bad fuses on the car ha. I need to do the same as well. Should be under warranty but who knows what GM will do for us. And no problem man, glad it helped.

Same thing helllppp

I am having the EXACT same issue however mine is a manual.. I have tried to jump start it and checked the fuses for ignition crank as well.. I havent had a chance to check the fuse box because it happened yesterday and couldn't get a tow.. I live in tx it is hot as well as mine is a 2007 LS possibly think it could be the same thing..? I know its not the battery or alternator.. I know what cars do when it is.. I have never ran into this issue with a car ever..
