car hesitates to turn off + P0496
Hey everyone. So my check engine light went on last week , got it scanned and it turns out to be one code : P0496 "VAP Flow luring a non-purge condition". I also just noticed when i got home today that when i turn my car off and take out the key...the car still runs for a couple more seconds, bogs a bit and turns off kind of roughly as if i stalled out. The two are probably somehow related to each other.
Anyone have any ideas what the problem is or the solution, greatly appreciate the help!! thank you.

did some research and I'm thinking if i replace the EVAP purge valve it'll go away. Does this affect gas mileage by any chance because i feel like my mpg has dropped significantly lately. Anyway ...would anyone be able to tell me the part number from rock auto? i looked but I'm not sure which one is the right one, thanks guys

Yeah if your purge valve is stuck open you can get fuel vapors drawn into the engine even after the injectors stop firing, keeping it trying to run if there's still spark present. Key off should kill the ignition though.
rockauto shows it as the vapor canister purge valve, GM part # 12597567 Delco part # 2141680

On the LSJ it's on the left side of the engine bay, just over the transmission, right next to the valve cover. It's attached to the hard plastic line going into the TB.
