Car running Rich HELP!!!

I recently put on a new cold air intake for my 2.0 Cobalt ss/sc. My check engine light came on and I ran a diagnostics on it and it read that the car is running rich. Any clues as to why this is and what I can do to fix it? PM please! Thanks. ~Mamba

was it an oiled filter- could have got the MAF sensor caked with it and screwed up the reading, check it if you want and clean and try again.

K&N and yeah I checked the sensors and tried clearing the error and it comes back. I replaced with stock intake and the code goes away. This is confusing the hell outta me.

Your KN filter must be to restrictive ,either somethings wrong with it or there is way to much oil on it.

Try another filter .

I bought an Injen and no codes. Sometimes the codes just work themselves out. I was about to change my fuel filter yesterday when I realized that I didn't have the proper tool to get the 3rd line out, hooked everything back up and I got a CEL. Drove it back home (about 10-12 minutes away) Shut it off for 15-20 minutes and it was gone.
