Car Wanders and pulls hard to the left

For a few weeks now I have noticed my car wanders on the highway. it will randomly pull to the left and then pull back to the right. I have to keep correcting it or run the risk of it smashing into someone. It randomly started happening and I have not hit the curb or anything.

I had an alignment done and they said my toe was off, but it was adjusted and he said everything looks good.

I also noticed that when I accelerate like normal, ie <5 of boost the car will pull to the left and when I let off it will go back to being straight. I know what torque steer is but this never happened before

Any Ideas?

I'm with you on this one. I had an 09 ss/tc and the steering wheel was a little off to the left. I know what torque steer is and it was not torque steer. I took it in for an alignment and that seemed to make the steering wheel worse! The guy who did my alignment said that it was off really bad. Then he fixed it and said that the alignment is good now but the steering wheel is really off to the left. When I drive and let go of the steering wheel it will go straight but the steering wheel is turned nearly 1/4 to the left if that makes any sense.

That's under normal driving conditions though. As soon as I got on the gas pedal(half throttle) the steering wheel really jerked to the left and like I said, I know what torque steer is because the car has basically full bolt-ons and Trifecta tuned at 23psi but it wasn't torque steer. I have to turn the steering wheel quite a bit to the left to make the car go straight. I'm sure torque steer had a factor in it now because I'm getting on the throttle but something else seems to be the problem. I brought it back to them(GoodGuys) and the mechanic reevaluated it and said that the alignment is perfect but he thinks my rackin pinion is bad because he adjusted it and the steering wheel is barely moving.

However, unfortunately it was running ok if I stayed off the gas pedal so I sold it. LOL It is back in the normal position now but when you get on the gas you have to turn the steering wheel to the left to keep it straight. The buyer was fine with it so I never fixed the issue. I just sold it like that. Not sure if it could be your rackin pinion but I guess it's a start?

Check cabs. When they fall apart the control arms will move on acceleration and deceleration.

Well I put Powell CAB's in, and checked the bolts and they all were tight. The ball joints looked ok but there was a significant amount of grease on my passenger tie rod. I had the car aligned on Thursday of last week and he said everything looked good.

Did they rotate the tires after the alignment? Could try swapping the front tires with the back tires, how bad was the toe off?

Nah no tire rotation. That was my next step. I checked the front tires to see if there were any issues and they looked good.

I dont know, he said it was pretty significant amount and that my camber was a little off but that was due to my lowering springs.

Strut mounts. Only thing it really can be if you replaced the CAB's.

is the rear in spec? some alignment shops are to lazy to losen the bolts on the rear twist beam to equalize the tow in the rear.

liek others said check for cabs and frozen caliper pistons.
