Car Won't Rev Past 5000 RPM
I recently replaced my Crankshaft Position Sensor and two days later my car started running real rough. Got a CASE relearn, but that didn't help.
The car feels sluggish and when hitting 5k in any gear, the car hits a wall like fuel cutoff is happening or something. If I keep it there long enough, the car dies.
I'm leaning towards clogged cat or bad fuel pump? Bad valve springs would be on the extreme side? I feel like my exhaust is a lot quieter, when it's usually loud all the time 'cause it's a Megan, which makes me kinda think it's a clogged cat. Any suggestions?

I'd buy it if it wasn't a 3" exit.
Thanks, man. I think it is too now because there's a rattling, and I'm pretty sure it's not the heat shield anymore. Must be pieces of the cat rattling inside the downpipe. I also get the cut off at 4k RPM and I get a P0300. Has to be the cat.
ZZP midlength combo or bad mab + 2.5 zzp?

Because I don't have $600 for new cat back. I don't need a new one anyway. But while I'm getting the downpipe out, might as well replace the header too.
I think I'm gonna go badmab + 2.5 catted zzp, because it's like $50 cheaper. Damn tax.
I'm still a broke college student paying off tuition.

Before you replace the cat or dp check your fuel filter. Had the exact same problem your talking about on a friends car and the filter was sludged up with what looked like clay and mud. I've seen a few that were clogged same way from people who complained of "loss of power" and "Hesitation". Maybe its just the cheap ass no-name junkie gas stations here in West TN but i figure its possible anywhere for the cheap gas tanks to have trash and sludged gas in them.
BTW the cat may be bad now because if the engine runs too lean too long or too rich too long the cat will overheat and meltdown.
