Cases of warrantied wheels?
Did a quick search but will do an in depth search later for some threads on warrantied stock wheels. Im talking about the 18" ss/sc wheels just to let everyone know. If anyone has had any cases where dealerships have warrantied please point me in the right direction so I can show some proof tomorrow when I make my argument to the dealership. Thanks everyone.

What is the wrong with your wheels? I have an 06 ss/sc and the paint has been bubbling and chipping for about a year now,all 4. I approached my dealer about 3 months ago, GM district manager is reviewing pics of mine and other customers wheels , I assume cobalt wheels. I was tolled that paint/finish are only warrantied for 10,000 miles, I was at 15,000 when I finally went in, thinking I had a 3/36,000, so that was against me.

I have had issues with mine since 3k miles. They look horrible. Dealer refused to help because "you drove it in the winter." Went back and complained dealer said they would call a rep. Waited 5 months with no rep being called. Called GM, they called the dealer and said the dealer claims they hadn't spoken you and I should try again. New answer... break dust... no I clean it two or three times a week. Well, too bad for you anyway. That is basically how it has gone here.

Well... you do have to make sure it actual bubbling. Not things such as debris from the road. Another thing is the machine that shops use to remove/put on your tires to the rims.
One thing you can try though, is saying you think there was trash under the paint. Therefore causing it to bubble.

I've had mine warranteed twice...
brake dust behind the spokes caused severe pitting. GM clear coated them for me.
About 4 months after being cleared they began to peel really bad. So once again, GM stripped them and painted the inner wheels black for me. All under warranty. I probably have the warranty repair order in my car somewhere.
After being painted black... the tire removal machine scratched my rims... which is being repaired under warranty.

Well all is good with my dealership they said I have to wait for the GM rep to show up to the dealer which he does about twice a month and they will call me so he can declare what will happen to my wheels. They said they are pretty sure they will replace or refinish my wheels due to the oxidation that is occurring on them.
