Changing a Wheel stud

Has anyone here done this. It was a pain in the ass to get clearance to get the old one out, but there is absolutely no way to put the new one in. Just no clearance.... ANYWHERE. Already ruined one.

Do we need to loosen that big nut holding the hub in place? Someone let me know... thanks guys.

just take the hub off, yeah you have to loosen the axle nut, but if you take the hub off the three bolts on the back of the knuckle it is much much easier.

there are three bolts on the back of the knuckle?

number #3 are the bolts for the hub

there is an easier way



use a ball joint removal tool

I was able to get one out of a buddy's car with the hub still on. In the first pic, basically where the front side on the triangular part of the knuckle, there is enough room to get it past the hub.
