Clutch master?

I was letting a friend use my car while I fixed his. He called me this morning and told me the clutch pedal felt loose and it wont go in gear. Im thinking its just the clutch master cylinder but it wont build up pressure even when i pump it. Any ideas?

Could be brake fluid boiling. Brake fluid should be changed at least every two years. Brake fluid is hydroscopic, absorbs moisture. Whith all that heat that the clutch builds up it's possible that the fluid has boiled. Clutch's usually dont feel any softer when they fail. Flush out your old brake fluid. Removed the slave cylinder line and remove as much from there as you can. Reattach it. Then you have to use a vacuum pump to bleed the slave cylinder.
