Dash Rattle
I think it is coming from the glove compartment...
Does GM warranty stuff like this, or will it be a hard one to fight for them to actually take a look at it and fix my rattle, it is annoying as hell.

I had a similar thing on my Cobalt it was the passanger side fender where it meets the A pillar. It was touching and a certain speeds or wind directions you could hear it vibrate.
Check it out there will likely be a rust spot there as well becausee the paint is wearing off.

I brought mine in for the same thing (glove compartment area) and after tearing the entire dash off, removing the interior dash pad and carrier assembly they found the source of the noise - the air inlet recirculation actuator was loose from the mode door. Sooo, they just re-installed it, put the dash back together and THANK GOD that damn noise is gone. Good thing it's covered as it took them 5hrs to figure it out and fix it. Telling them it may be what I had will save them hours of looking around...so be sure to mention it

Mine was the antenna cable touching the heat duct. I relocated it a little and taped it to the dash support. Problem fixed. If it isn't something in the glove box, warranty should fix it.

Welcome to GM. The fit is ****. It starts to rattle a week after you buy it...my passenger seat rattles and they have fixed it 4 times and it still rattle...
Count your blessings...i'd rather have a rattling glove box then motor issues like some are having.
Possible fix: The handyman's secret weapon....duct tape.

I took a bit of that 3M auto tape and left one side of the red plastic stuff on it, and cut a small square out of it and put on each side of the glove compartment door where the bump stops hit it... no more rattle

All cars get rattles, domestics and imports. When i worked for bmw,we used to get so many brand new cars with rattles. And on those cars, its no simple fix.You have to remove the whole dashboard and put felt tape on all the mounting points.Imagine buying a brand new 7 series and having to take it in to have the whole dash board removed and reinstalled? Its under warranty yeah, but most likely there gonna scratch a panel or 2,and your gonna get a rattle somewhere else.

my ragged out nissan doesn't rattle or squeak as much as my cobalt. but every gm i've owned has made lots of noise so i've already come to terms with that.

after a roadtrip today. i have another rattle. i have one in the center of the dash that kind of chings over bumps and makes noise sometimes even when idling in drive.
then the newest one is a clicking/creaking noise on the left side of the steering wheel. it does a creaky click noise by itself sometimes. and i noticed when i push or left completely on the gas pedal it clicks. wtf
i wish i had the cruze interior with my cobalts looks
