Question decelerating problem

someone please help me with this issue.....how comes it feels like when ever i am slowing down to around 2k rpm the car does a very slight jerk almost like i have an automatic that is down shifting hard. and thats without shifting any gears....fyi my car is standard. is it a supercharger thing or just a figment of my imagination but i have noticed it plenty of times please help

I have no idea what causes it, but I've experienced the same thing. Typically it happens when I get off the expressway and downshift to 4th (or 3rd) to help slow down. If I stay in gear and let the engine drop below 2k rpms, it sort of "chugs".

exactly im wondering how many other people notice this and if anyone knows why....i was thinking a faulty throttle or something

ive noticed this in almost every manual ive driven but it is more noticeable on the cobalt due to the lack of power under that 2000 or so rpm range. I cant really explain what is going on because i dont completely understand it myself but i think basically your just in to high of a gear for the speed/rpm.

I really dont think it is actually something wrong with the car. Just downshift again or just use the brakes.

i was pondering the same thing, on the higway if im cruisin and i give a lil gas for a second then take my foot of the pedal i feel a ilil jerk, if im in the upper rpms and do it i dont feel it, i dont think its anything to worry about.

Yeah it's all good guys it's not a problem or anything. All manual transmissions do this.
