double clutch

I know a lot of people have been having this problem, but i cant seem to find an answer. A couple weeks ago my drivers door stopped working entirely so i have crawling in and out of the passenger side everyday. The key wont unlock it, it barely turns at all, and the power locks unlock the passenger door, but I don't hear any noise on the drivers side at all. The lock wont even move. Ive tried pulling up the lock manually with pliers, but that didn't work. And it seems almost impossible to get the door panel off with the door stuck shut. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
