Door wont open/close
Recently arrived at work and opened my driver side door to be confronted with the problem of it not closing. Which was really shitty considering all the interior goodies I have in the car plus its raining on top of that. Finally pushed the door to and hit lock button and it stayed in place. Now the door will not open back up. Possible latch problem. Anyone else had this problem? Anyone have any idea about how much it would cost to repair? Please advise.

Read through the threads on the link provided above. Tried the keyless lock and unlock several times but to no avail. The warranty has expired on my cobalt all I have remaining is the powertrain warranty. Could anyone else give me advise on what to do or how much the repairs will cost? Thanks. Why isnt this a freaking recall?

i had the same problem with my 06 ss/sc, its the latch on the door....i had to climb out of the driver window one day.., wat happens is the factory grease wears and gets wet blah blah blah and then one day u close ur door but when u pull the inside handle it feels like the door should open thenu use the outside handle and it still dont open, or u close the door walk away and come bk to find the door just pulls open...just de-grease the latch then re-grease using white lithium grease available at ur local parts supply...its awesome ****...and the problem should go away...
