Driver side floor SOAKED!

I just got in my car after its been sitting in probably about 12 hours of nonstop rain. I sat down and went to open the small storage compartment to the left of the steering wheel and water came rushing down all over my hands. It wasn't damp, it wasn't moist, water came rushing down all over. I looked down at the floor and noticed my entire driver side floor was SOAKED, so wet there was standing water all over the floor. Took me half a roll of paper towels to get it dry. I also noticed the headliner by the driver side door was very damp. Not soaked like the floor but definetly very wet. I checked for noticeable leaks of rips in the weather stripping, I couldn't find any. Anyone have this problem or know where the leak might be. Thank God I have 200 miles left til my warranty is gone, car is going to the dealer as soon as it opens on Monday. I had leaking problems twice before near my sunroof button. I am very very disappointed in GM's weather stripping, it seems like it can't handle ANY significant amount of rain.

Do you have a sunroof?

Was the dash wet on the top?

Could be a leaky sunroof if you have one. In which water can leak down and also follow the pitch of the roofline to the front and lead down to the dash.

Windshield COULD be leaking but that wouldn't explain the headrest.

That's what I was thinking. Sounds like the rubber grommet at the bottom of your driver's side drain is plugged up.

What you also can check is where the wires enter the car from the door ,the boot could be not seated properly.

Yes, and twice before I've had the car in the dealer for sunroof leaks. They said the drains were clogged. The dash was not wet on top though.

UPDATE

Came back from the dealer today, "defective hose." Turns out one of the drainage hoses that runs from the sunroof area down through the A pillar under the dash literally just popped out. Dealer "professionally dried" my car as well, whatever that means.

professionally drying is basically taking ur interior apart and putting the seats and carpets outside to dry...

GM seriously has a problem with these sunroof drain hoses....almost ALL the 08 Acadias and 07 G6's come back to my dealership for water leaks....we've actually contracted out to a specialty water leak company to take care of all the repairs simply cuz we cant keep up with the volume of cars coming back for it

sad thing is all they have to do is add an inch or 2 to the drain lines so they dont pop out....

Oh wow, that makes sense. They told me the car could only be worked on Friday when the sunroof/water guy was there.
