Driver side seatbelt is locked up
I just bought a 2006 Cobalt SS and the driver side seat belt is locked up. It is a rebuild and i have heard that if the air bags go of the seat belt permanently locks up. Is this true?

No warranty only covers defective / naturally broken items. If your car was in a wreck it should have been taken care of when the vehicle was repaired. If it just happened to lock up without having been wrecked, then yes, it would be a warranty issue. Either way your 2008 would be far outside of warranty on it, it would not be covered under powertrain and I think that's all you should have left by now. I would go back to the shop and complain that it was not replaced.

I'm at the stage now where i bought the seat belt assembly but I need a guide on how to change it lol. (auto noob). The seatbelt still works but i have the annoying airbags error everytime i start the car. The only thing that got it to dissapear was adding a resistor in there. I dont want to jeopardize my passengers so thats not an option.
