So today I heard a click when shutting my door, now I can't open my door from the inside or outside. Anyone experience this? How do I fix this? Is there a How To for taking the door panel off? I need help bad. Thank you

I think it's from the cold. I just realized, how am I going to fix this if the door won't even open? Can I fix it by popping the inside door handle off?

ive never heard of the cable popping out of the handle, but you would have to take the entire door panel off (which isnt hard). Only other thing it would be is the actuator for the lock getting hung up, which happens on my drivers side door whenever it gets cold, and it locks me in or out of my car and makes me look like an ass. lol

Is it cold where you are? I used one of those do it your self car washes and my door froze 15 minutes later. Once it thawed I haven't had any problems. One tip I suggest is playing with the lock/unlock button and it will let you get in or out if you hit it a few times

Ive taken my door panel off. You can reach inside right by the cable and flip the lever down that catchs the stud on the door frame.

Once u get it open I would remove the panel and grease all the movable parts on the latch inside and out after I did that have not had any problems

Is there a how to for that? I mean, the door panel removal? I've removed all my cars door panels except for this one, and I don't wanna strip the stupid plastic clips that push in and hold it by doing it incorrectly.

mine does it in the cold. If i'm stuck inside i roll down the window and play with the outside door handle and after a few times it usually lets me out. Mine will also not shut for the same reason. Again just play with the outside door handle until it works. I've tried lubing it but i think its just a cobalt vs cold thing
