easy drum brake question

easy drum brake question

I cant get the drum off, i tried hitting it with a hammer and its still stuck, any ideas?

sometimes, if they're on there a bit...a little penetrating oil can help

what i did is rubber mallot pound the **** out of it, loosen the ebrake cable. pound a little more, and pull off

ebrake wasnt on, and is the ebrake cable the metal hose that goes screws in to the back plate?

you loosen it by taking off your ebrake boot, and theres a screw with a little nut i believe 11mm deep socket, maybe 10 and you loosen it almost all the way.

or you can switch to discs like i did lol

Put some penetrating oil on hub. then hit the **** out of the outside part of face of drum turn hit turn hit it should come off.

You need a good heavy hammer to do it. They can rust onto the hub pretty damn tightly, especially if you live in the snowbelt.
