Ebrake Issue...

My Ebrake is sticking sometimes. I leave the car in first gear and put the ebrake on, if its on over night and especially if its cold out when I come out start the car and back it up I can hear the Ebrake let off after I start trying to move the car. Almost like it is stuck until things start moving... This only seemed to happen after I had the R1 concept rotors put on... Anyone know what might be causing this?

This happens with mine sometimes too and I have rear drums. I don't think it's anything serious to worry about

This section of a howstuffworks.com article on how the ebrake works outlines some of the troubles that may be encountered, including potential freezing of the line in cold weather.

HowStuffWorks "Dangers of the Emergency Brake"

Hope it's helpful for you!

i had the same issue. the ebrake is released off the inside side of the calipers via a spring. yours could be shot (mine was) so i replaced both calipers. cost me about 50 each at vatozone after returning my cores
