Electric Lock Trouble
My car (2007 LSJ) is having a problem where it will not unlock all the time. I know for sure it isn't the key fobs
This is what happened to me today
I walked to the parking garage and tried to unlock my car with the keyfob, wouldn't work. Then I walked back to get the other one and both of them work fine. The cars been having issues with locking and unlocking for quite some time.
I would have used the key to get in but I thought it might set off the alarm and immobilize the car (what my last car did when you used the key). I've just learned thats not the case.
Any idea what the problem could be? I'm sick of my car being a moody bitch.

I don't see how that could be the case. I have problems unlocking and locking with both of them. I've had them apart and checked connections. Everything looks good.

The key fobs are a know issue. One the solder for the battery connection comes unsoldered and two the rubber keypad goes bad and doesnt make a good connection on the circuit board.
Re-solder if necessary and order the new rubber insert from ebay and you will be good to go. I had both of the above issues on both of my keypads within 6 months of each other. Drove for 6 months with the horn fuse pulled before I fixed it.
Just ran across this thread but I would still just buy the new rubber insert.
