Does anyone know what would cause the car to keep accelerating with my foot off of the gas pedal whether it is in gear or in neutral? I nearly caused an accident yesterday because it wouldn't slow down on the highway, I had to shut the car off after redlining in neutral.

Before anyone suggests to clean the TB, I've been down that road a million times and have to clean the ls4 TB every three months.

So three potential problems I've identified are random vacuum hose, TB motor is bad, or some freak fuel issue with the tune. I cleaned the MAF and TB last night and didn't see any changes.

Any ideas or things to test would be greatly appreciated.

Another possibility is that the throttle pedal assembly is bad. I cant confirm it but i would look there also.

No? I have posted before with issues about the ls4 tune but eventually figured it out. This is a completely different issue where the car will take off on its own. I did multiple searches for similar situations and did not find anything.

try putting the stock on back on ?


I know the ls4 is very touchy when it comes to the throttle, maybe its not scaled correctly in the tune

Unfortunately I returned the stock to zzp as a core so I might be stuck buying a new ls4. If I had the choice I'd go back to stock, but then I would have no way to retune it.

swap the throttle plate out with another see if the problem continues

Check the tps voltages and compare them to the app voltages. Should tell you where to look

The first thing I would do is check either the front or rear of the car for a Toyota emblem.

They should never have gone to drive by wire system, that crap isn't fool proof, if something malfunctions u got issues like this. And wait till cares are totally networked, people will hack in and take over ur car and crash it . Stupid system
