Engine Droning on highway

My engine drones really bad on the highway around 65-70mph in 5th. It does it around town too. It sounds very bassy and is annoying as hell.
Now it's not exhaust drone. All of the noise is coming from under the hood. I have probably had 10 different exhaust setups on this car and I know what that sounds like. It's done it with the stock down pipe and currently sounds the same with the stock header and ZZP down pipe.
Seems to be worse when cold. Any ideas? Bad mount or something? I don't have a heat shield anywhere (they rusted and rattled so I removed them) but that shouldn't make a difference.
