that was not engineered to be abused it was made for fuel eco.....i would understand more if it was a ss.sc or a tc...then yes but the ls and lt is fuel eco
bro, you're talking like a fool.

you're saying that since he had his car at 6100 rpms it IS abuse, and should NOT be covered? if it's not safe for an engine to be at 6100 rpms then the car in STOCK FORM should not be able to go to that level of rpms. it is not abuse, and shouldn't be considered abuse.

that's my argument. let's see if they agree with me...

but i was talking to a guy at bates engineering and he told me that the factory valve springs do actually float at 6100-6200 rpms, i think that is a bad bad idea on gm's part to set the redline above valve spring floating point...

thats enough right there, when they get a new head its pretty much blank, you have to swap parts over including valves, springs, cams ect. most likely they didnt properly put the valves in. fight it and dont give up

the car should beable to do 6500, i went from 3rd to second (bad miss) and the rpms went to 8500...... i was scared shitless, pulled over and it was fine...

yep thats what im thinking, they just didnt properly install that valve, i find it interesting that i got no keeper back, im sure it was the keeper that was installed incorrectly.
