Engine Power Reduced...Lots of Codes?!?
Hey...While driving today I got off the highway and traveled about a mile. The check engine light came on along with the "engine power reduced" on my display. The throttle was all over the place, and at red lights the engine wanted to idle up and down on it's own. Boost gauge seemed to want to stay in vacuum even at full throttle. As I pulled into my driveway the engine sounded as if it was running on two cylinders, making a popping noise at idle before it stalled out. This has happened once before, I scanned it and came up with about 12 different codes ranging from a/c high pressure switch, to barometric pressure switch, fuel mixture rich, etc...All very random codes that didn't really point to anything in particular. I am wondering if anyone has experienced this, or know what the possible problem may be. Car is an 2006 SS/SC, 65,000 Miles with a ZZP down pipe and k/n drop in filter. Thanks!!

Alrite, happened again yesterday while on the way to work. Scanned it and came up with the following codes:
P0172 Fuel System Too Rich Bank 1
P0341 CMP Sensor Circuit Out Of Range
P0532 A/C Pressure Sensor Circuit Signal Low
P2135 TP Sensor 1-2 Correlation
P2138 APP Sensor 1-2 Correlation
P0068 MAP/MAF - Throttle Position Airflow Correlation
P0641 5 Volt Reference 1 Circuit
Here's what I got, Again it puts it into "engine power reduced" mode and barely wants to stay running. If you let it come down in idle it will rev up and down for about 4 minutes before it starts to sound like it's running on only one cylinder before stalling out. Thanks

Check the connectors on your ECM .
Maybe unhook the battery and then unplug them, spray with contact cleaner and reapply DI-electric grease to the connectors and reassemble.
Most of those are on the C2 connector!
Another thing is to check the wire bundles going to those connectors for spots that are chaffing or shorting.

I totally agree. The connectors to the ECM are the most likely culprit. Check to see if there is/has been any water in the connections. Also check the engine ground strap. Make sure it is still intact and not corroded on either end.

Hey, in relation to the suggestions of checking PCM connections, engine ground straps, and wire chaffing. Where do I actually find these on my 06 cobalt? Im looking at getting "Hosa D5S-6 Deoxit Contact Cleaner 5% Spray" off amazon and spraying it on my battery connections and where ever else you guys suggest.
