ENGINE/ TRANNY mounts for AUTO??
ok guys. i have a 2008 cobalt sport automatic.
the other day, i purchased a kit (1 engine mount & 2 tranny mounts) from MAC auto parts. they are just stock replacement mounts. long story short, these mounts are terrible! they are super weak, and allow for wayyy too much movement. there's no vibrations at idle, but rather while acclerating. my mechanic told me that because the mounts are cheap, the vibrations i get upon acceleration are from the motor and tranny rubbing/ hitting other components. true??
the brand on the mounts are DEA. are there any other aftermarket brands that make auto mounts?? i've heard of Weststar and Anchor, but i just dont know if they're just as shitty. i was looking into the TTR solid upper engine mount, but that leaves my 2 tranny mounts. would it be a good idea to just get the oem mounts directly from Chevy??
someone please help! thanks
