so i just bout a 05 cobalt ss/sc. the last owner installed a cat-less zzp downpipe. it made the exhaust a little to raspy for me. i just installed a magnaflow muffler to see if i could change the sound a little, maybe a little deeper. it sounds good its just a little to loud for me. also it over powers the whine of the supercharger and that makes me sad....lol. if i were to put on a resonator would that quite it down. i have heard yes and no. i am not sure what to do. when driving normal it sounds really nice, but once i get on it, it is way to much. any suggestions? please let me know. thanks

look a resonator will quiet down any car i have an 06 ss s/c with a 3 inch down pipe no cat 2 resonators and a dnx muffler 2.5 piping sounds good and when i really get on it i could still hear the whine of the supercharger if you don't have an intake you will never hear the whine but if u change it it will sound sweet

Yeah some type of resonator will do just fine if you get a good one.

I needed a high flow cat, magna flow resonator and muffler to hear a 3.1 pulley. Plus with this set up the exhaust sounds nice, despite my D/p noises.....

vibrant ultra quiet resonator. have on one my V6 Montero. made a big difference in sound and raspiness. btw...put the cat back on. any time you remove the cat on any car it sounds like ****. thats my suggestion. hope it helps
