I have a 05 black ss/sc , and wondering if anyone else have or having issues with the clear coat on the exterior peeling,and cratering ? I called gm about it they opened a case and I need to get it "diagnosed" to see weither they can help me or not , any one experience this with their cars?

As well as inner door handle chrome peeling?

i just purchased a cobalt and both the door handles had chrome peeling. luckily i work at an auto parts yard. found it to be a very common problem as i actually had trouble finding a pair that werent peeling. but i did find a pair and was pleased at how easy they made these to swap out.

 

mine started peeling and i actually cut myself on it before i tore it all off. the visible part looks fine still, but behind the handle where you pull peeled off

 

I pulled all the chrome off mine and painted them to match the dash trim. Looks better that it did from the factory.
