F35 No Reverse!

F35 No Reverse!
I've recently been unable to shift into reverse no matter what. 1st through 5th work. Considering I can still use 5th I don't think its the synchro. I know little about transmissions, can someone do some hypothetical explaining as to what the problem could be? I've resorted to looking at F35 parts on ebay to try and piece together how/what the transmission could be doing to create this much pain.
I left work early for an appointment with reverse working just fine. After the appointment when I went to reverse out of the parking spot I couldn't get it in gear at all!
I first started by trying to put it in reverse when the car was on, off, and after putting it in 5th.
I then began adjusting the linkages under the shifter, after 30 minutes of constant adjustments I bit the bullet and just drove onto the curb to get out and go home.
That weekend I pulled the fuse box and inspected the shift arm things mounted to transmission and attempted to put it in reverse from there, still unable to.
Took it to a buddy's auto shop where his techs did an inspection confirming that it wasn't the linkages considering they were done 15k miles ago.
Currently waiting to take it to a local transmission shop to pay for another inspection then decide if its cost effective to rebuild (if possible) or buy another F35 and swap in the LSD.
If neither are a reasonable price, I gotta sell the high school dream car. :'(
Any one have a shared experience with this? Or anyone able to offer some technical explanation? I want to learn as much about this car as I can. Thanks for any help or pointers in advance!
