Factory Alarm Problem

So all of a sudden I'm having a weird problem I can't fix. Regardless if I lock/unlock the car with the keyfab or the actual key, the alarm will start going off within seconds, I believe it's about 8 seconds or so. The only way I can get it to shut off is starting the car up, and disconnecting the battery. I already tried disconnecting the battery over night which seemed to make no difference. Any ideas? 2007 cobalt ss/sc

Alarm module probably has gone bad. May need to be reprogrammed I've seen it happen a lot not so much in gms though. Should be an alarm fuse you can yank out for now. Hate to say it but unless you have a buddy with a solus or modis you are going to gm

Any idea what the alarm fuse would be labeled as. I looked through the fuse box and nothing jumped out at me. Right now i had to pull the horn fuse.

The alarm will always go off if you lock the doors with the key fob, and then use a key to unlock a door or the trunk. The alarm is supposed to turn off if you put the key in the ignition and turn it to the run position. Have you tried that?

Yes I have, it did it regardless of the combination. Anyways, figured out the problem. After messing around with it for a week. A message on the DIC finally popped up saying the key fob battery was low. After replacing the battery, the alarm randomly going off when locking and unlocking has gone away. Very strange...

I have a 2005, If I don't lock the car in any form and walk away for 5 seconds or longer, then come back and open the door. The alarm goes off, I have get in the car and turn on the ignition to the run position at least, if not I have to start it. So every single time I open my car door I have to press the unlock on the fob(regardless if its unlocked) otherwise the alarm goes off. The doors used to lock and unlock themselves randomly and sometimes quick frantically while driving. That randomly stopped. Please any advice? I'm new to posting so if you suggest I start a new thread, let me know.
