Factory Service Manuals
I was wondering if anybody has the factory service manuals. If so, How good/comprehensive are they? Also, do they have the CAN bus (GMLAN) information/specs in them. If they do, I'd be willing to drop the $130 they cost in a heartbeat (Can we say home-built performance monitor?), otherwise I'd be a bit leary as to their usefullness.

nope you are not going to find any indepth look at CAN, but you get all the wiring info.
It gives you insight in the operation but it doesn't spell out something like that.

Yeah, thats kinda what I thought. I know the operation of CAN and all that good stuff, the important thing is that I don't know which order the data comes out of the port (CAN bus is timeslice based, kinda like TDMA cell systems).
Alas, apparently I am not going to be able to get a really cheap performance computer. Although the service manuals might still be useful for other things, like, say fixing things that get broken.
