so another ******update****** they called up gm and asked wtf and they had several internal timing chain bullitens (meaning they would have to have someone complain and etc and call in) and my engine was build within the specified dates of the timing chain problems just like i told them OVER A YEAR AGO! thats what pissed me off even more but yea so far alls well in my cobalt ..its SO much smoother now first gear specialy and getting up and going, only thing is i still need a new clutch i burnt mine to **** when i learned on it..i can't launch for **** haha

what does suck is it was slapping the case for over a year causing you to drive around with metal shavings in your oil greatly reducing the life of your rod/cam bearings...

Ya i am going through the same BS that you went through. My car has been doing that for the past 4 months and my warrenty expires in 8,000 miles. One week i just left it there for them to find the problem and all they did was waste my gas!

ya last oil change i did i looked at the magnet (oil change was about less than a week ago although they changed the oil themselves yesterday..) it was full of silver gunk so i guess it heated up the little shavings a lot at it all stuck to the magnet it was like a goop ..still kinda metal solid but u could spread it aorund like butter which i found kinda disturbing haa

soooo...now that its fixed, you better be at the track next friday then! Screw the clutch, its still driveable lol, my clutch is on its way out too, last time at the track i couldnt get it to launch worth ****, doesnt stop me lol.
