Flutter noise with boost over 7psi!!!!!

My cobalt randomly started to make a weird but consistent flutter at pressure above about 7psi. It had no aftermarket parts or bov. I had the charge pipes and intercooler pressure tested for leaks and everything was good and sealed. I was told the only other place it could make s flutter (or leaking) noise is the bov that's on the turbo. So I bought an upper charge pipe and bov from zzp. In order to do this I had to remove the original bov spring and replace it with a shim so it will always be stuck shut and rely on the aftermarket bov. The noise is still present after 7psi and now my car is showing a code p0234 for turbo overboost. Wondering if anyone has had the same noise and what you did to fix it. It hasn't made that noise the whole time I had it.

Ok what bov do u use, stock, upgraded one from modern performance bov on charge pipe or charge pipe and stock both?

Stock would be the turbo bpv . Is it silver or yellow

I blocked off the original valve that's on the left side of the turbo. Its like an off white tanish color. I bought the zzp upper charge pipe with the zzp 50mm bov. I blocked the one on the turbo completely and took the line out of it and connected to my new zzp bov.

Lube it probably, maybe replace, maybe upgrade to a forge bpv. That said I haven't fixed mine yet lol

try byassing the vac tank for the bpv. plug bpv directly into manifold and see if that fixes it. when my vac tank went my bpv would start to open when I was at full boost. and I couldn't get past 15 psi cause everytime it hit 15 it would open and drop to 10. pissed me off. no more vac tank for me, it took it out. it could be causing ur issue as well. worth a shot and only takes a minute.

Well finally did something about this, I went and got Powell's PVC upgrade and had him throw in a forge BPV and I got him to blast my intake valves. What a difference, the CEL and limp mode are gone John told me my PVC was completely clogged, I wonder if that might be sending the car into limp mode. Car feels and sounds so much better, big thanks to John Powell!
