Front Brake Squeal

Ok so i have searched and i cannot find an answer ok so heres the story:
On my way home tonight and this jerk cuts me off and then slams on his brakes so then of course i have to slam on mine so i dont hit him. but now as i drive my front passenger side brake is making a squeak noise as if there is one spot that is rubbing the calipers. Is this common or did something else happen? Is there anyway to get rid of this?

Thanks Guys

check your pads, they may just need to be replaced... brake pads have a metal tab to where when they get too worn off it'll start rubbing on the caliper(not damaging) and it'll squeak

yeah those sound like the wear indicators on the pads. its a semi thin piece of metal that squeaks when you lightly press. but when you press harder you bend the tab out of the way temporarily and it stops.

scratch that. i got rear OEM rotors and pads off eBay for $70. Fronts are slightly more. Easy install.

OP, replace your rotors and pads, it will eliminate your problem and you wont have to worry about it in the future. Plus your braking will be like new again, really good.
Plus, I see that you have an 06, I just had to replace all my rotors and pads because they were making AWFUL noises, and this was my first time on my 2006. So its probably your time to do that too.
