Man , I just dont get all the sporadic PCM issues , I thought it was just early build 05's, but now its in some of the 2006's too? . My 05 was built 5/05 so it was one of the early ones , and I havent had 1 single CEL or oddity at all and I just turned 15,000 miles .

Sorry for the people having the problems , man that sux .

Just got my car back from the dealer today. One of the issues I had asked them to address was the cold start issue. I mentioned that many people in the forums here had gotten a flash that fixed it for them. When I picked it up today, they told me that I already have the newest, nothing else has come out (my SS/SC has a February build date, too). The other thing my dealer told me is that there is no TSB or repair for the passenger door handle issue, despite the fact I gave him the TSB number posted in another thread. His exact words were that "you can't trust most of these kids on those forums, they're mostly full of ****". I've yet to have met anyone at the Bill Heard Chevy around here with a clue.

mken - I think you need to find a new dealer if you can . The passenger door issue was taken care of on mine and they were aware of the bulliten . GM has actually made a bigger bezel for this problem , how could they not know about it .

My car does this too. Its rare, and has happend on my 06 balt since I first got it. My simple quick and easy fix is as follows:

Hit the gas....

Thats right when it starts bouncing just tap the gas once and boom, problem gone. it doesnt happen all too frequently so when it does thats enough of a fix for me now. As soona s you touch the gas it stops, so until there is a fix, that should hold you down.

Just wondering,
is this only affecting the SS S/C, or are regular SS 2.4L affected also?

I'm planning on getting the 2.4SS this spring and I'm wondering if it will also have this problem. And unfortunately, I dont have the cash for the s/c, or the extra insurance.

Is there a place we can see all the TSBs released on our cars?

I got my 05 SS last June and it did the same thing when I was stopped at a light. A little while later, the baffles in the muffler went and I had to get a new muffler. When it came, they put the new muffler on, re-tuned the car and re-flashed the ecu. The problem with the idle at a light never happened again after that. Thank god my muffler blew.

I had that idle problem..so i took my car in yesterday to get it checked out. The tech said that since my car is an 06' my ECU has all the right programs in it, even the idle control. He said not to worry about it and i dont need a reflash or nething. If it does it some more then ill go back and demand one

I just bought an SS/SC two weks ago and was just noticing the idle problem. I'm glad I now have some information to bring with me when I talk to the dealer about this. (Some people always assume us ladies are clueless and fail to listen to us). Hopefully this will get resolved because I LOVE my SS. (Sooo much more than my Neon I sold).

I hate this fawking idle issue.. It also happens on my 06 SS/SC. Its a HUGE **** off.. I dont understand why they would even sell the car when it does something like this. Since the car comes with a exhaust you can actually hear.. Its embarrasing..
