How many parts on your car have failed in the past few years compared to the price of the extended warranty.
Whats wrong with boosted 2.2s?
ive heard of a few 2.2 ecos to last 300-400k with under 2800 in repairs. I guess its all in luck though

While GM doesn't offer an extension of the bumper to bumper warranty itself, we do have our GM Protection Plans. These are essentially service contracts and are only available during the bumper to bumper warranty period. They vary in their degree of comprehensive coverage - from covering most major components with Major Guard on down to engine, transmission, and front/wheel-wheel drive components in Basic Guard. Check out General Motors Protection Plan - Home Page for more information.

The Bumper to Bumper warranty and the Powertrain Warranty do stay with the car. If you would like to know the exact date/mileage of expiration, I'd be happy to get that to you! Just send me a private message with the last 8 of your VIN and I'll get you more information.

good topic here.
i bought a GMPP GM protection plan around 35k miles instead of buying through GM and it cost 890 which GM wanted 1500. got to choose major gaurd or basic but i choose major with 0 deductiable. its about to run out in june so contacted the same people and i can get a 24k miles or 3 years with 50 deductiable for 1400. i dont drive the car much since i have another suv and bike so that would be fine. i recently took the car in for fuel leak, they had to replace some pricey parts it seemed so the warrenty i bought was worth it. 0 deductiable so left paying nothing and car fixed.
i been debating SCing my car or keeping it same and just deal with what i got. probably just going to get the extended warrenty again instead of SCing cause i got the bike payment. if i blew a tranny, i wouldnt have money to get a new one or piston etc.
i'll try to get that website for you. higher mileage higher price though of course. that 1400 quote was for my car having 62k miles. GM dealer in local area wanted 1900. i have had cold air intake and catback exhaust on it since mile like 300 lol and no dealer at all gave me problems. of course if i went SC warrenty would go bye bye.
some newer cars today the electronics can go out easy. just depends on location and how you drive it. if you dont plan on modding the car, get the warrenty. it will give you peace of mind to know if ANYTHING at all happens, your covered. thats if its on the major gaurd of course. basically everything besides normal wear and tear stuff.
